Dobsonville, Soweto: Operation Dudula Members Remove Illegal Immigrants from Employment

Operation Dudula's backers are furious over the unfair treatment of natives by illegal immigrants in South Africa. The group's demands for the deportation of foreign nationals have exacerbated national unrest. Illegal immigrants were allegedly putting their new communities at risk and disobeying South African law, according to Operation Dudula. The members of operation dudula recently staged a demonstration against the influx of foreign workers into the local labour market at the ShopRite mall in Dobsonville, Soweto. According to Thabo Ngayo, the protest organiser, locals in South Africa are bearing the brunt of the illegal immigration crisis. He made this point to both the company's management and the South Africans present at the site of the protest. Reports indicate that members of operation dudula also sought the termination of all non-local mall staff. To alleviate some of the pressures experienced by young South Africans, the organisation demanded that the Dobsonville Mall's management make hiring South Africans a top priority.
