Since the death of a gang boss, members of that group have threatened the lives of Klerskdorp residents.

As depicted above, Paul "Nguzo" Ndamoyi was the leader of the infamous Al Qaeda cell; his funeral will take place this coming weekend. Because his purported gang has threatened that many more will join him, the locals are always worried that things will get worse. An anonymous assailant allegedly leaped out of a white Toyota Quantum—which lacked a registration number—and opened fire on Paul "Nguzo" Ndamoyi as he stood behind the vehicle, engaged in conversation with another individual. After the gunfire, Paul "Nguzo" Ndamoyi sustained injuries. Tragically, Ndamoyi lost his life at the scene of the incident. The news report was first published by Flyingnewslive. The venue for the gathering was Jouberton, which is in the Klerkdorp municipality in the North West Province. Many Al Qaeda members have made strong threats that many locals will join him after his burial this coming weekend, thus community members are terrified that the worst is yet to come after his funeral. This upcoming weekend is the planned funeral. The next weekend is when his funeral and burial will be held. Officials from the South African Police Service (SAPS) have launched an investigation into the incident. They are appealing to anyone with information that could help them apprehend the suspect or suspects to contact them at their nearest SAPS phone number or visit their local police station.
